Wednesday, December 18th
- tomorrow is a full day; don't forget to send a lunch with your child
- report cards come home tomorrow at 3:45 pm
- we started our day with caroling and a special concert from a studying Opera singer and ended with finishing our vehicles and testing various methods of propulsion.  AMA which of these methods was most successful and where some of the design difficulties came into play.



Tuesday, December 17th
- Sleepy Santa Day tomorrow; festive outfits and hats or PJs are welcome
- Don't forget to return signed Math Quizzes
- Please remember to return Ski forms before winter break; money can be paid in the New Year if necessary
- AMA our Guest Speaker, Olympian Sam Effeh
- AMA our vehicle building activity this afternoon; we will be testing our designs using different propelling methods tomorrow

Monday, December 16th
- Math Tests coming home today. Please sign and return this week :) 
- AMA the bison skull and other artifacts from today
- Hawkwood is still raising donations for the Calgary FoodBank. If you're able, please bring in non-perishable foods or money donations this week. 
- Please look for your recorder (for music) at home and bring to school for the NewYear
- Don't forget: Sleepy Santa day on Wednesday
- Reminder: No school Friday
- Winter Break begins on December 20th. School resumes January 7th.

Wednesday, December 11th
- AMA some of the French vocabulary "dans ma salle de classe"
- AMA some of the artifacts from our kit and what they were historically used for
- AMA the problem solving strategies I learned with Ms. Harms today
- Please remember to return skiing forms before winter break 

Tuesday, December 10th
- Skiing forms coming home today; please fill in and return to the school by December 18th. Fees can be paid online or in the office
- AMA some of the interesting things I learned about bison
- please practice addition of 4-digit numbers at home
